June was another record-setting month for GolfStatus and we are excited to announce a few of this month’s winners. Some of you will also be getting separate reward emails from our partner courses.
Throughout June, many of you earned entries to win a $100 Austad’s gift card when you (1) shared a round or check-in on Twitter, (2) checked in at a course, or (3) played a round. Today we collected all of the entries and conducted a random drawing. Jon Tewes is the lucky winner! Jon was able to collect 11 entries in June and entry Jwj6g was the lucky ticket.
As for our June Leaderboards, Sully Zornes finished in the top spot on our Points Leaderboard and Peter Hansen finished in the top spot on our Cash Leaderboard. They each earned a dozen Titleist Pro V1s. Congrats!
In May, GolfStatus delivered a record number of rewards to a record number of golfers. We expect June to be even better!
Throughout May, many of you earned entries to win a Bushnell Tour V3 Laser Rangefinder when you (1) shared a round or check-in on Twitter, (2) checked in at a new course for the first time, or (3) played your first round at a new course. Today we collected all of the entries and conducted a random drawing. Erik Nore was the lucky winner! Erik was able to collect four entries in May and entry hCM6Kg was the lucky ticket.
As for our May cash and points Leaderboards, Jay Beatmann finished in the top spot on both. He earned two dozen Titleist Pro V1s. Congrats!
The first of the month is always an exciting time at GolfStatus. As we grow, more and more courses are rewarding golfers on our platform. That means lots of reward announcements, in addition to this one, are going out today. If your home course isn’t on board yet, be sure to tell them to contact us to get started.
As for GolfStatus’s national sweepstakes, users earned a chance to win a $100 Golfsmith gift card when they (1) shared a round or check-in on Twitter, (2) checked in at a new course for the first time, or (3) played their first round at a new course. Today we collected all of the entries and conducted a random drawing. Evan Bickel was the lucky winner! Evan was able to collect seven entries in April and entry OI3S6Ck was the lucky ticket.
We upped the ante a bit this month, so be sure to connect your social profiles and share check-ins and rounds with your larger social network. It will help grow the game and may increase your odds of winning some great rewards where you play.
As for our April cash and points Leaderboards, Peter Hansen finished in the top spot on both. He earned two dozen Titleist Pro V1s. Congrats!
We recently implemented some changes to prevent people from abusing the check-in process. Rest assured, we did not restrict your ability to check in, but we did limit the amount of points and cash you can earn from check-ins during a short period of time. We believe this change will enhance the friendly points and cash competitions on our leaderboards.
Remember, if you are the sharing type, press the Facebook and Twitter icons to activate them when you check in (visit Settings to connect those profiles to your GolfStatus account - see images above). Checking in and sharing on social networks like Twitter can result in great rewards from courses and businesses - like a chance to win a free membership at some of our client courses.

Last month, John Vannoy topped both the Points and Status Cash leaderboard, winning four rounds of golf, with carts, to Wild Horse Golf Club in Gothenburg, Nebraska, and a dozen GolfStatus logo golf balls. This month, the top 20 points leaders at the end of the month will have a chance to win four free rounds, with carts, to Bayside Golf Course in Ogallala, Nebraska. Each of the top players will get entries in a lottery: the top player will get 20 entries, the second place player will get 19, the third 18, and so on. We will randomly draw the winner during the first week of August. The higher you finish on the leaderboard, the greater your chance of winning.
As you might have guessed, we are big fans of Western Nebraska golf and if you play Bayside you’ll understand why. Bayside was designed by Dan Axland and Dave Proctor, who assisted Bill Core and Ben Crenshaw in building Sand Hills. While Bayside’s front nine is more of a traditional links-style layout, the back nine is rugged and raw. This landscape is truly breathtaking, providing a glimpse back to what Western Nebraska looked like 150 years ago. Indeed, nestled on land just south of the Oregon Trail, visitors who stroll outside the course’s boundary have a decent chance of stumbling upon a Sioux arrowhead or other Native American artifact.
We hope this month’s winner, and three lucky friends, will enjoy this course as much as we do. Good luck!
As always, keep a look out for rewards for your golf achievements each time you play.
